About

I Want My Ex Back is a place to explore the questions that follow a breakup: Should I reconnect? What would need to change? How do I respect someone’s boundaries while dealing with my own feelings?

Our focus is breakup recovery, respectful communication and healthy reconciliation. We also make room for moving on. Missing someone does not mean you owe them another relationship, and wanting another chance does not mean they owe you one.

What you can find here

  • Reflection guides to help you distinguish missing a person from missing companionship.
  • Practical examples of respectful communication, accountability and boundaries.
  • Articles about rebuilding trust when both people freely want to explore reconciliation.
  • Resources for accepting an ending and taking care of everyday life after a breakup.

How to use the advice

Read with your own situation in mind. Examples are illustrations, not instructions to contact someone who has asked for distance. A quiz, message template or product cannot tell you what another person feels or guarantee a reunion.

Relationship decisions involve two people. A healthy next step respects both people’s choices, including the choice to stop communicating. We do not recommend using jealousy, repeated messages, surveillance or pressure to influence an ex.

Education and outside support

This website provides general educational material. It is not a counseling service and does not diagnose mental health conditions. When a situation involves fear, threats, coercion or violence, prioritize safety and consider confidential support from an appropriate local service.

Products, advertising and transparency

The website includes a shop and advertising. Purchasing a resource does not guarantee that an ex will respond or that a relationship will restart. Review a product’s description and delivery information before buying. Please read our Disclosure Policy for information about commercial relationships.
